ROBERT D. WADE

SUFFOLK – Robert Delvis Wade, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 26, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Nansemond County and was a retired upholstery worker for Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth. He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Virginia Smith Wade; a daughter, Bobbie Sue W. Bowles; two sons, Robert V. Wade and Calvin Wade, and a sister, Doris W. White, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Raymond L. Wade of Suffolk and Spurgeon S. Wade of Baltimore; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Willis Dowling and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral Home.
