Ronald Bruce Cunningham Sr. entered eternal rest, surrounded by his family, on Friday, May 18, 2007. He was born at Fort Eustis, Va., on June 28, 1947, to the late Geneva and Willie C. L. Cunningham Sr. Following graduation from Hampton High School, Ronnie was employed by Newport News Shipbuilding, Graphic Impressions, and, for the past 15 years, by Kwick Kopy of Williamsburg.

Preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Miles Sabb, Ronnie leaves in loving memory his beloved wife, Delia Brown Cunningham; four loving children, Rhonda Perry and husband, Stacey, of Hampton, Tony R. Cunningham and wife, Shaunta, Ronald B. Cunningham Jr. and Tanya R. Cunningham of Williamsburg; and seven grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are three brothers, Cary D. Cunningham and wife, Rosalind, Wade A. Cunningham and wife, Susan, of Hampton, and Willie C.L. Cunningham Jr. and wife, Irene, of Sugarland, Texas; and four sisters, Barbara Rhone and husband, Charles, of Yorktown, Janice Wilson and husband, Alvin, Brenda Mauney and husband, Melville Jr., of Hampton, and Pamela Sookins and husband, John, of Richmond; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 21, from 6 to 7 p.m., wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home on Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Little Zion Baptist Church, 8625 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, by the Rev. Linwood Gatling. Committal will follow in the church cemetery.
