RUBY MAY WALTON

HAMPTON – Ruby May Walton, 73, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, in Sentara Hampton General.

A native of South Boston and a resident of Hampton for many years, she was a waitress at Piccadilly Cafeteria, retiring in January 1987 after 12 years of service.

Mrs. Walton took up two hobbies. One was needlework and the other was doll collecting, in which she had an extensive collection. She had a love for children and her animals.

Survivors include her husband, Archie Walton of Hampton; a brother, Elwood Thompson of Dinwiddie County; and a sister, Catherine Lloyd of Haw-River, N.C.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Sudduth. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
