MRS. CHRISTIAN DIES; RITES TODAY
WELL-KNOWN WILLIAMSBURG CITIZEN PASSES AFTER ILLNESS OF THREE MONTHS
Williamsburg – Funeral services will be held this afternoon for Sadie Mahone Christian, wife of J. Marston Christian, who died late Monday night after an illness of several months. The services will be held from Bruton Parish church at 5 p.m. with Dr. W. A. R. Goodwin and Dr. W. C. James officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Christian was the daughter of Mrs. Sarah E. Mahone and the late Thomas Bradford Mahone. She was a life-long resident of Williamsburg and was well-known in this section. In addition to her husband, J. Marston Christian, she is survived by her mother, one sister, Mrs. C. W. Hunt, three brothers, R. W., Thomas B. Jr., and Powell Mahone, and several neices and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Allen, T. C. Hall, Clyde C. Hall, F. R.Savage, B. E.Steel, T. J. Stubbs, T. L. Shepperd and Vernon M. Geddy. Honorary pallbearers will be George P. Coleman, Dr. B. I. Bell, Dr. J. R. Tucker, Frank Lanford, Lynwood Owens, John Warburton, Ed Maynard, D. A. Powers, Albert Hunt and members of the Pulaski club of Williamsburg.
