HAMPTON – Selma Hellman Chisman, 81, a lifelong Peninsula resident, died Friday, Aug. 7.

She retired in 1982 from WVEC-TV. Mrs. Chisman was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Survivors, all of Hampton, include a son, William B. Chisman; two sisters, Beatrice Snapp and Olga Chisman; and a brother, George V. Hellman.

Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home and at 22 Barron Drive all other times.

Graveside service at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John’s Cemetery by the Rev. Alice M. Jellema.
