SHONDA R. WILLIAMS-SCIPPIO

FORT EUSTIS – Shonda R. Williams-Scippio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003.

Shonda was a 1991 graduate of Phoebus High School where she was a member of the Bonds Flag Team.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Rev. Samuel J. Fladger and Floyd Moses of Hampton, and uncle, Jonathan O. Fladger of Hampton.

Left to cherish her memory her loving husband, Spc. Kent L. Scippio Jr.; her children, Malik K. Williams and Tayshawn E. Williams of Newport News; her mother, Phyliss F. Parker of Hampton; her father, Harold W. Williams Jr. of Georgia; mother-in-law, Rev. Arnette Ford of Detroit; father-in-law, Kent L. Scippio Sr. of Winston-Salem; grandmothers, Shallima N. Pratt of Newport News and Mildred Moses of Hampton; sister, Kristen D. Moore and nephew, Josiah Moore of Hampton; half sisters, Cosby, Tammy, and Courtney; half brother, Wes of Hampton; uncles, Ishaq Abdus-Salaam of Germany, Arthur A. Fladger and his wife, Kathy, of Hampton, Reginald L. Fladger and his wife, Sharon, of Hampton; three best friends, Michelle Todd of Hampton, Cathy Mack of Hampton and Tara Brewer of Washington, D.C.; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Regimental Memorial Chapel, Fort Eustis, Va., by Chaplain Graig Johnson. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and will continue from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the Chapel, Ft. Eustis Wednesday.

Arrangements are by O.H. Smith and Son Funeral Home.
