WILLIAMSBURG – Tommy Carroll, 59, answered the Master’s call on Thursday, May 1, 2003, in Williamsburg Community Hospital. He was a longtime resident of the area and was a former member of Bethel Restoration Center. At the time of his death he was employed at Seasons Cafe. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in June of 1965.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his sisters, Cordelia Chandler and her husband, Charles, Arlene Carroll, Sarah Carroll and Mary Washington, all of Williamsburg; his aunt, Eunice Tynes; his foster brothers, Larry and Harry Bartlett; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in Bethel Restoration Center with Bishop John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Family and friends will assemble by 1 p.m. on Friday at 406 Carriage Road. Mr. Carroll may be viewed in the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Professional service entrusted to the staff of Whiting’s Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
