HAMPTON – Virgie Davis Warren, 82, died Saturday, March 17, in Sentara Hampton General Hospital. A native of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. Warren had been a Peninsula resident for 32 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret L. Ferrell of Richmond and Ouida C. Simons of Los Angeles; six sons, Andrew V. Warren Jr., William M. Warren, John B. Warren and Edward W. Warren, all of Hampton, Woodrow W. Warren of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Eugene J. Warren of Isle of Wight County; three sisters, Clarine Hankins, Adelle Mathews and Mildred Tyson, all of Portsmouth; a brother, Bennett Davis of Conway, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parklawn Memorial Park by the Rev. G. Wayne Parsley.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
