POQUOSON – William Smith Carmines Jr., 84, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, died Sunday, April 11.

Mr. Carmines retired from civil service after 32 years with Langley Air Force Base.

He had previously been a waterman.

He was a member of the Men’s Bible Class of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survived by his wife, Glee Trantham Carmines; and a niece, Edna L. Forrest of Poquoson.

Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home and at other times at 100 Hudgins Road. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Tracy McNeil Wines. Burial in Western Cemetery.
