HAMPTON – William Thomas Clancy Sr., 64, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, in Hampton Veterans Affairs Hospital.

A native of Albany, N.Y., Mr. Clancy had been a Poquoson resident for much of his life.

He retired from the Navy in 1968 after 20 years of service and later retired as an electronics supervisor at Seimen’s, Newport News, in 1979 after nine years’ service. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. Burns of Hampton; a son, William T. Clancy Jr. of Newport News; two brothers, John Clancy of East Greenbush, N.Y., and Jim Clancy of Albany; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Parklawn Memorial Park by the Rev. Donald J. Cavey.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson.
