HAMPTON – William Newton Curry, 76, died Monday, Nov. 19, at Sentara Hampton General Hospital.

Mr. Curry, a Richmond native, had been a Peninsula resident for many years. He had been a civil service worker at Langley Air Force Base, where he retired as a civil engineer in 1978 after 30 years’ service.

He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Hunter Curry of Williamsburg and Stuart Wise Curry of Hampton; two sisters, Margaret Worsham and Elinor Curry, both of Richmond; and a grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John’s Episcopal Church Cemetery by the Rev. Rodney L. Caulkins.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, 753 Thimble Shoals Blvd., Newport News 23606, or United Way of the Virginia Peninsula, 1520 Aberdeen Road, Hampton 23666.
