MARY L. CARTWRIGHT
THOMASVILLE, N.C. – Mary Lee Cartwright, 89, a Peninsula resident for many years, died Wednesday, Jan. 29.
Mrs. Cartwright retired from C & P Telephone Co. in Hampton after 20 years of service. A native of Onancock, she was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Hampton and the Home Demonstration Club and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survived by a daughter, Helen C. Heath of Thomasville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 7 to 8 tonight at Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home. Funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at funeral home by the Rev. Nolan Crowder. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
