Charles Prather
Charles D. Prather, 88, died in Kecoughtan Veteran’s Administration Center Hospital Friday after an illness of several years.
Prather was born in 1876 and was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. He is survived by a nephew in Olathe, Kan., the state of his birth.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30am Tuesday in Hampton National Cemetery, the Rev. Donald L. Crytzer, pastor of the Hampton Christian Church officiating. Full military honors will conclude the services.
