EMILY JUNE BUNTING DODGE

GALVESTON, TEXAS – Emily June Bunting Dodge passed away Nov. 16, 2003, in Galveston after an extended illness. She was born July 19, 1924, to Edd and Mary Jane Bunting in Poquoson, and graduated from Poquoson High School in 1941.

After marrying James Dodge, she and her family lived in New Hampshire, Virginia, and Georgia. In 1986 she located to Galveston and joined the Agape Class at Moody Methodist Church. Her main interests in life were her family and traveling.

June is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Dodge of Galveston; a daughter, Connie Johnson and husband, Jerry, of Galveston; two sons, James Dodge Jr. and wife, Carol, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert Dodge of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Burdell Bunting of Poquoson; and numerous relatives in Poquoson.

The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, followed by a procession to Weston Cemetery at 2 p.m. for a graveside service by the Rev. James D. Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Hurricane Isabel Relief Fund, 1294 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson, VA 23662.
