VIOLA G. PALMER
ANN ARBOR, MICH. – Viola G. Palmer, 76, formerly of Hampton, died Wednesday, March 13, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
A native of New Haven, Conn., and a 1936 graduate of the Univ. of Michigan, Mrs. Palmer was an associate professor of biology at Hampton University from 1953 to 1978.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ann Arbor, the NAACP, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Survivors include three daughters, Viola Palmer of Detroit, Mich., and Ann Holsey and Susan Dishmon of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Hampton University Cemetery by the Father James Griffin.
The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday.
